When I'm about half way home I receive a frantic phone call from the lab tech telling me that she didn't take the right sample for the glucose test! Isn't that the reason I was there to begin with?? She got all the other samples right but forgot the most important one!! By the time I was able to get back to the lab, too much time had passed. I was a little more than peeved and I was not going to waste another hour so they could do the test again. Fortunately, they were able to test it another way (I have no idea how, nor do I care) so I won't be needing to go back.
Oh and the good news: I don't have gestational diabetes! I celebrated with a milky way :)
That was Monday morning.
Other than that, this week I...
*packed up all my Halloween decorations
*worked on my baby mini book
*did a lot of baby research (mostly about immunizations this week) and still have a lot to do
*found a simple idea for curtains (thanks mom!!)
*learned that you can wash your potatoes in the dishwasher
*died laughing when I saw this video from the restoring sanity rally
*stayed up late tuesday watching the election coverage
*found these super adorable maternity photos done at a park
*can't get this jack johnson song out of my head (which isn't a bad thing :)
*started getting ready for something really exciting happening next week (you'll have to check back then to see just what it is)
Now, I'm going to eat breakfast and go for a walk before it gets too hot. It was 95degrees at my apartment yesterday (in San Diego, 6 blocks from the beach). I don't know what is going on, but I'm not enjoying it at all.
I hope you have a great weekend. And stay cool (or warm :)!!
